2024/25 Goalkeepers

Program Information

Coerver Goalie Training is for Boys and Girls U10-U16. This is a 9 week course designed for Serious Goalkeepers who want to learn new positional skills, have fun and learn to play goalie the proper way.

 
Some of the techniques that will be covered include: pick-ups from various angles and speeds, high catching, punching, tipping, dropping, diving, charging, throwing, footwork, reactions, punting and goal kicks.


These techniques are coached through progressive exercises and fun games.


Other Topics:

  • Basic Techniques: Drills and games that focus on proper ball handling and technique.


  • Positioning: Drills and games that help Goalkeepers to get into the correct positions to save, receive and distribute the ball.


  • Distribution: Drills and Games divided into two parts: Throwing and Kicking.


  • Saving: Drills and games that teach the different saving techniques.


  • Game Play: Games where the Goalkeeper can put all the various building blocks of our pyramid together.
